Stimulating the private disposals service sector

Recently I received a recycling calendar issued by the City of Toronto. I found this quite amusing as it was delivered to an apartment building where the tenants have no use for such a calendar.
There are large disposal and recycling bins that sit at the back of the building all week, in which date for pickup is not a concern to the tenants. This negates the need for the tenants having to know which day is recycling versus which day is garbage versus which day nothing gets picked up.

What makes this situation even funnier is the fact that our recycling service is handled by a private company. I see the City is doing their part in supporting and stimulating the private disposals service sector by creating useless items for disposal.
